Peace and Justice Committee

Through education and advocacy, the Peace & Justice Committee at our church promotes peace, justice, and nonviolence. Some examples of projects have included donating a “Peace Shelf ” of books on peace to area churches, compiling stories of conscientious objectors who attend KRMC, and leading conversations about faithful responses to local, national and international agenda. Newcomers are welcome to join this group, which meets several times each year and occasionally does special projects together.

Outreach Committee

Through hands-on experiences and relationships, the Service Committee seeks to help support and connect congregational attenders and members with opportunities to assist others in need, in our community and beyond. Opportunities to share skills, time, expertise, and material items are regularly communicated and planned through the work of the Service Committee. Some opportunities are ongoing, while others occur as needs arise. Currently, the congregation has connections to Hope Ministries, the Catholic Worker ministries, Healing River Retreat Center,Habitat for Humanity, the Center for the HomelessTen Thousand VillagesFuller Center for HousingBridge of HopeMichiana Youth MinistriesMichiana Relief SaleMennonite Central CommitteeMDC Goldenrod (formerly Mennonite Disabilities Committee), Mennonite Disaster Service, and Churches Supporting Churches – to name a few.

Global Partnership Forum

God’s family spans the globe. Our members have many global connections through ministries and through their families. This forum seeks to help us develop relationships with people and churches internationally. All are welcome. Several meetings are held each year.
